Wedding Wednesdays: Even MORE Peacock Madness!

Happy Wedding Wednesday!  As promised last week, in MORE Peacock Madness, I’m back today with EVEN MORE beautifully birdie bridal bits!  (I’m kinda slutty when it comes to alliteration).  The Peacock-Themed Wedding Trend has a pretty solid seat at the popular table, and that’s good news for everyone who can’t get enough of those royal hued feathers!

On my travels through the on-line wedding world, I’ve come across countless ways to incorporate this trend.  We covered cakes, tablescapes, bouquets and shoes last week, so today I’m going fill in the other details we missed.

Let’s start with your wedding’s debut, the first-look your guests have at your wedding theme, your Save-the-Dates and/or Invitations:

Peacock Invitations Clockwise from Top Left Images From: Meant To Be Sent; Jamiekonet; The Inspired Note; Hello Dahlia

I love, love, love the sleek graphic take on the peacock feathers in the top left invites from Meant To Be Sent.  It’s simple, yet clearly showcases the color theme.  Using real feather accents, like the The Inspired Note, is wildly elegant.  Duplicating the feathers in print is just as elegant, as you can see on the invite from Hello Dahlia, and I can’t get enough of the modern peacock graphic on this Save-The-Date from jamiekonet.

Peacock Wedding Guestbooks

Peacock Save The Dates - Clockwise from Top Left Images are From Inviting Moments, Designer Shindigs, I Do It Yourself, & Modern Shabby

If you remember back to Guestbook Goodness, you know I’m a sucker for fingerprint guestbooks like these from Inviting Moments and I Do It Yourself.  With the graphics already made for you, all you need are some ink pads in Peacock colors, and guests who aren’t afraid to get a little messy!  For more traditional brides, check out the GORGEOUS guestbooks from Designer Shindigs and Modern Shabby.  I’m loving the flower, feathers and lace details!

Peacock Wedding Hair Accessories

Peacock Hair Accessories - Clockwise from Top Left Images from Madelin Little Boutiq; Dana Castle; Beautiful Blossoms; and Baroque & Roll

Along with fingerprint guestbooks, I’m also a sucker for bridal hair accessories.  I mean, when else in your life could you rock a feather headdress, like that from Baroque & Roll, and truly get away with it? Go for a subtler take on the feathers with the pins from Madelin Little Boutiq or Beautiful Blossoms.  For the bride who wants bling and peacock madness, this pretty pin from Dana Castle is just about perfect, right?

More Peacock Wedding Ideas

  • Bridesmaid gowns in alternating colors of green, blue and purple.  David’s Bridal even has a pretty tealish Peacock color swatch!
  • Have your flower girl drop Peacock Feathers down the aisle in lieu of rose petals
  • Create the mood in your venue with lighting effects in the color bold palette
  • Outside wedding? Maybe you can rent a peacock to mill around your site! (I googled it, you can totally find one.)
  • Or, if you have $1.4Million lying around, you can wear this as your wedding gown (and forever be called Lady Gaga by your family and friends)

Peacock Wedding Dress

Crazy, awesome dress though!  Anywaaaaay, there are infinite ways to add the peacock theme to your special day.  The colors allow for a rich, warm, elegant palette, and the feathers are perfect for creating drama.  Whatever you decide, it’s sure to be amazing!

What Peacock details would you use?
